Students at Monarch Academy Creatively Reflect on What They Learned About Their Awesome Brains! In February, the 4th graders at Monarch Academy, Baltimore, had the opportunity to participate in a 4-week course entitled "My Awesome Brain" taught by Heather Higgins, UDO's Director of Training and Development. The students had fun and learned about several of the organs in their brains, brain development, and ways that they can care for their own unique brains. At the end of the course, students were encouraged to write a poem or draw a picture about what they learned. Several of the students chose to submit their work and the results were insightful and inspiring. Enjoy! |
