About Us

Established in 2007, The Upside Down Organization (UDO) has built its reputation on providing high quality, dynamic learning experiences for child-serving professionals in the United States and abroad. Partnered with The Children’s Guild and functioning as its external training arm, UDO is unique in that it doesn't just offer professional development – it serves children and families every day. Supported and staffed by The Children’s Guild employees and other child-serving professionals, UDO is in classrooms, group homes, foster homes, counseling centers in schools and in hundreds of homes across Maryland. Our daily contact with children and youth across the academic and behavioral spectrum allows UDO to offer our clients a powerful blend of cutting-edge research and real-world application.

UDO’s steady growth can be attributed to our loyal and highly satisfied workshop participants. Our customers' “word-of-mouth” marketing has allowed UDO to grow from a single part-time presenter offering 2 seminars in the Maryland region to 4 full-time staff, 3 part-time trainers, 1 certified organization and 21 certified presenters offering 25 superb seminars in 43 states, Germany and Singapore. UDO's growing reputation has been built on our commitment to providing the highest quality professional development experiences, to delivering outstanding customer service, and to improving the lives of children, youth and families through "Helping Adults Help Kids."
