Barbara Lingenfelter has more than 14 years of counseling experience. Her specialty is in mental health and substance abuse treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.

Barbara is a certified trainer for The Upside Down Organization and holds professional counseling licenses in two states, Maryland and Texas. She is also a National Board Certified Counselor. Prior to starting her work with The Upside Down Organization, Barbara worked with counseling children and adolescents in emergency shelters and foster care home settings. She has also worked with many children and teens in various school and religious settings.

Barbara earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Southwestern University in Waxahachie, Texas. She obtained her Master’s Degree and Advanced Certificate of Studies in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. Barbara is working towards her Ph.D. from Loyola University in Baltimore.

Barbara has been married to Troy for 15 years, and is the mother of two beautiful girls, Allison, age 7, and Emily, age 19 months old. In her free time, Barbara enjoys photography, reading, and watching movies.
