Terri Martin-Yates has a deep passion for helping parents and teachers of young children, particularly those with special needs such as autism and other developmental disorders.

In 2009, Terri founded Trainings Made for You, a private training and consulting company that offers cost effective training and educational support for educators in the challenging environment of early childhood education. Terri is a state-approved Level II Trainer for Georgia’s Bright from the Start Program; in this role she actively shares her years of experience in education, psychology, and early intervention with educators throughout Georgia and the United States. Terri’s mission is to help teachers understand early brain development and how to help all children develop a strong foundation for learning in the early years! She also works part-time for a clinical psychologist in Gainesville, Georgia as a psychometrist where she performs various evaluations of preschoolers, school-age children, and adults.

Terri has a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Georgia and also completed a certification program in school counseling from Georgia State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Stetson University in Florida.

In her spare time, Terri enjoys tutoring college students with learning disabilities in a variety of psychology courses, and for 10 years has  co-taught a Sunday School class for children and young adults with special needs, many of whom are on the autism spectrum.
